Timberlands Lookalikes

Hello my lovelies! I hope you're all having a good week. I've been a bit stressed since it's finals week for me (yay for the trimester system). However, I have had time to look for some cute new fall and winter boots. I usually have problems with gross slushy Midwest winter and sadly, the past winter, I fell numerous times due to my fashionable, yet not quite functional shoes. So here I am, proclaiming a new love for badass, tough-girl Timberland boots. However, not all of us can fork over $120, especially on a minimum wage budget. So I've found some lookalikes for all of us girls still looking to stay fashionable, but not break the bank.

1. Union Bay Macon Boot ($29.99, but usually $50)
These boots are a dead ringer for the famous Timberlands that I long for, yet don't have money for. I find these are a good substitute.

2. Esprit Forest Lug Boots ($24.99, usually $40)

These look like the Union Bay boots almost to a tee. Oh yeah, this pair and the first one are both from TJMaxx, where I have recently rediscovered a love for their products.

3. Rock & Candy Bulldozer Booties ($44.95, not $65)

These cool booties also are very similar to the pricey Timberlands, but I like these because they come in a variety of colors as well. They come in a winey-burgundy, a dark military green, and the standard tan. These are from DSW aka my heaven.

4. Dirty Laundry Remix Bootie ($59.95, not $70)

These have a little twist compared to the typical Timberlands. I'm not sure how these shoes hold up to the actual boots in term of grip and functionality, but hey they're definitely a different option for girls who love heels and the outdoors. These have a 3 and a half inch heel but the heel looks pretty thick so it should be fairly comfy.

Okay and those are some cheaper alternatives to the widely popular Timberland boots. Happy shopping and have a great week!

FALL HAUL

Guys it's almost FALL which means it's okay to wear sweaters everyday. Sweater weather is literally amazing and so is the song too. Btw got Halcyon Days by Ellie Goulding and literally the best $20 I've ever spent.
So I went shopping today and picked up a few goodies!

1. Alex and Ani Gemini Bracelet
Okay so Alex and Ani is primarily an East Coast commodity, but I'm determined to make it a hit in the Midwest. Alex and Ani is a bracelet company with different charms that all signify different things. Mine is Gemini because I am indeed a Gemini. But the best part was I got it for $10 instead of $24, score!

2. Calvin Klein Jeans
Just some basic black, straight-leg jeans.

3. G by Guess Combat Boots
So I finally got combat boots! They're a shiny dark brown with a maroon tint. They zip on the side so you don't have to tie shoelaces or anything too! The inside is a cute camo but I'm not sure these can be folded over. They were $40 though!

Okay that's all for my mini fall haul! Enjoy the weather lovelies (along with pumpkin ice cream!) and see you next time!

FALL UPDATE

Hello my lovely daisies! Super long time no see, mostly my fault. However I just wanted to catch you guys up with a few fall favorites.

1. Marina and Lana Remixes station on 8tracks
If you like marina and/or Lana you will love this more than anything. 8tracks is a super awesome radio app too, no ads!

2. Wild Daisy Couture
This girl hand-prints these tanktops and crewnecks all for $18! She's crazy talented and the clothes have great sayings. Like Freshtops but cheaper.

3. Combat boots
I'm officially in love with combat boots all kind. I still need to get a pair but they look so good with everything and they're so cute for the fall.

4. Benefit's They're Real Mascara
This is the best $20 I've ever spent. My eyelashes look like they could literally blow someone away and I have short, stubby Asian lashes. If you have long lashes, they will look gorgeous.

5. Urban Outfitters Lip Gloss Pen in Red
Okay best lip product for $5. It's like a big crayon that stays on forever. It's crazy awesome and works well on my lips. And it makes your teeth look whiter because of the blue undertones.

6. Miss Moving On by Fifth Harmony
This song is crazy catchy and I sing it all the time.

7. Viva la Primadonna
Coldplay and Marina. Eargasm.

Okay those are a few things I'm loving! Let me know how you are! Bye!

Lookalike: Steve Madden Troopa Boots

Hi my lovelies! Happy New Year and may this year be great for all of you. Okay now let's talk Steve Madden. Troopa boots are pretty infamous right now, known for their design and also for the price tag that goes along with them. Haven't seen them yet? Now you will have. Okay so they're pretty great, and I'm sure a lot of people have already given in and paid the $100 for them, but as a student that kind of money could pay for way more stuff than one pair of super cute boots. So how about some lookalikes for less?

1.FOREVER 21 ($34.80)
Okay, so these are the Forever 21 ones and pretty similar right? Maybe a few differences, but hey it would look weird if everyone was wearing the exact same pair of Troopas. These are only $34.80 so go for it!

2. PACSUN ($39.99)
Pacsun, you have pulled through again! So at first glance, I thought they were almost Troopas! And Pacsun quality is always nice, so these would be a good pair of lookalikes for only $39.99!

New Crochet Detail Bite Boots
3. PACSUN ($34.99)
So these aren't necessarily Troopas but they are cute if you like a spin on the classic combat boot. It's got a little heel and crochet detail but the same main guidelines as combat boots with the laces. Just another option for all the daring.

4. ASOS ($52.75)
These are the New Look Clark Lace Up Worker Boots, and the lookalike that I found on ASOS which I love by the way. But these are nice, and really good quality. ASOS is spot on. Just saying. But these are a little pricey compared to the others but I'm sure you'll get your money's worth out of these.

Product Image
5. SWEET BEAUTY ($47.99)
Beforehand, these are online so you might have to pay additional money for tax and shipping and all that, just to let you guys know. And again, these are for the ones okay with not-exactly Troopa style boots, because these have a little something something extra: the folded over pattern which is so cozy looking and very plaid. But these are just a variation that you could try out if you like it.

And okay, those are some lookalikes I found to fit different styles of people, but still go along with the Steve Madden Troopa craze. Tell me what you guys think and have a wonderful 2013!
