SUMMERTIME ESSENTIALS: SHORT SHORTS

Hi my wonderfuls, hope you're all doing lovely! I'm so sorry I haven't posted recently, I've been super bogged down with homework and clubs and blah. So let's talk short shorts, because I know everyone has a pair or two (guys, you can admit it too!) and they're super hot for the summer! Ha ha, punny right? No? Okay I'll stop now. So short shorts are comfy and keep us cool, while looking hot! I will also have some that aren't cling-to-your-leg shorts for those who don't like that. Let's go!

1. Hollister Low Rise Short Shorts in Khaki ($25.00)
I do like my shorts to have a little bit more than just denim, and I really like khaki. Full on khaki pants can look a little iffy, but these will look nice with most outfits and the fit on these is so wonderful, you'll wonder why you didn't have these before. They would look nice with a little V-neck or a tank top or something like that. You'll look more dressy than just denim shorts if you catch my drift.

2. American Eagle Hi Rise Black Festival Shorties ($39.95)
Okay so American Eagle pants are overpriced, but hey if you've got a spare $40 these shorts are a total catch! They're black so they match with many things, and they've got a little distress and punk-y rips to complete the look. AND THEY'RE HIGH WAISTED! And if you couldn't tell they're for people who appreciate the "Coachella, music festival" summer look.

3. Forever 21 High Waisted Lace Shorts ($15.80)
First off isn't this the greatest steal ever? These shorts are soo cute with black lace and they're comfortable. I know Forever has a problem with quality but seriously for less than 20 bucks, this is awesome!

Okay so those are some shorts that are perfect for summer! Let me know what you think, talk to you soon XOXO

Closet Essentials: Swimsuits!

Hi my beach beauties! So it's probably spring break for most of you and I'm sorry this probably won't help then, but if you still need a swimsuit I've got your back. So these will be most accommodated to my body type which would be athletic: smaller chest and thicker legs, but with rocking abs. This are great because you need to look cute for that boy! Maybe, or you just want to look nice on the beach which is awesome too. Let's get started!

1. Billabong Jade Stringer Bikini (Top and bottoms are $29.95, total is $59.90 at Pacsun)
So this is just a really cute bikini and I really like the design. I like the triangle top because it gives better coverage in my opinion, and the bottoms are cute too. I do recommend getting a larger size in swimsuits in general (Don't worry, you're still a skinny mini!) because of the shrinkage and coverage. My biggest tip is TRY IT ON! Unless you're absolutely sure/ have no other options, which is not good. At least go into the store and see if it's available there. It might be awkward, but think of all the other awkward situations you're avoiding.

2. Beach Sexy Ruffle Push-Up Bandeau Bikini (Top $36.50, Bottoms $20.50, total $57.00 at Victoria's Secret)
I LOVE VICTORIA'S SECRET BIKINIS. They're seriously so cute and so worth the money. I will admit, it might look a little risque in the store, but they are so nice. I really like this pair, even though I probably would try to avoid the bandeau thing. Bad experience, especially since I got nothing going on up top. You can figure it out. My rule now is the bandeau needs a tie behind the neck as well as the middle clasp. This is floral and polka dots! How can you say no?

3. Balboa Island Swim Triangle Bikini (Top $24.50, bottoms $19.50, total $43.00 at Hollister)
Okay I admit, I'm not a huge fan of Hollister but last year, my roommate had the cutest bikini from Hollister so I decided to branch out this year. This one is really cute, it's blue with this lighter blue pattern on it and I think it will look great on the beach.

4. Atomic Hottie Bikini (Top $74.00, bottom $58.00, total $132.00 at Betsey Johnson)
I love Betsey Johnson soooooooooooo much, it's undeniable. This will look so cute in the sun and against a tan. The pattern is really nice and I really like it.

Okay that's all I've got this time! See you next time, XOXO.

Closet Essentials: Sweatpants

HI my lovely peeps! Peeps like the candy, yum. So as you all know, I am a proud soccer lady and a former cross-country runner and as you all know, being an athlete requires some off-days too. Looking nice is too much work sometimes, and that's when sweatpants come in. So let's go!

1. Adidas Boyfriend Live In Capri Pants ($45.00)
So comfy. So nice.

2. Hollister Skinny Sweatpants ($15.90)
These are soo comfy, and so great.
 Girls Hollister Lounge Sweatpants

3. Victoria's Secret PINK Boyfriend Pants ($44.50)
A little bit expensive but so worth it.

Adios, muchachos! Muah XOXO

Closet Essentials: The Favorite Pair of Jeans

Hi my lovelies! Okay so I am glad to say that when you now Google "DIY book quote scarf", my post is the number one hit. Thank you all so much for clicking! Yay! Okay so you guys know, I'm writing posts about some closet essentials, my opinions and some examples.

So let's talk jeans. I know, I know we would much rather wear sweats than jeans, but days when you really don't want to dress up or look like you just rolled out of bed, jeans are a go-to. You can go with the classic blue, but different colors can help your outfit pop! Black jeans look classy, while colored jeans are hot this season. However jeans are not one size fits all; it all depends on your curves, mostly your hips and thighs.Girl, embrace what you got, and flaunt it! So I'll tell you guys about how my legs are and these are the styles that I've found to elongate the look of my legs and still fit comfortably. Levi's also has their Curve ID quiz that I would recommend; I don't actually wear any of their Curve ID jeans but I do like the idea. Okay so obviously I'm a soccer player (from all those SGP posts! Holla to my soccer ladies!) and I have muscular legs, especially my thighs. There's no thigh gap happening here, no matter how hard I try. So I go for semi-skinny jeans and straight jeans usually. The super skinny jeans first of all make me feel like I'm dying and bring soooo much attention to my thighs which is not good. Semi-skinny jeans and straight jeans help not bring so much attention to my thunder thighs and make my legs look a little more vertical rather than horizontal. Also boyfriend jeans are a staple in my closet, and I'll probably make a post just about them later.

So let's get into some jeans ladies!
1. Lucky Brand Zoe Skinny/Straight Jeans ($70-90)
So I have a few pairs of these and they are like my HOLY GRAIL, hands down my favorite kind of jeans. I seriously love them so much. One thing though, they are a little bit bunched around my ankles, but I wear my jeans pretty low so that might just be me. But there are lots of shades of denim and they go well with everything! So that is the Zoe!
2. Miss Me ($90-120)
Okay, I'm not actually a big fan of Miss Mes actually. They're pretty overpriced in my opinion, and I don't like rhinestones on my butt. No. But they offer a large range of styles and they're pretty nice if you're into flashy jeans that cost a pretty penny. I actually have a pair but they're at the back of my closet, so all you haters out there thinking that "She wouldn't know, she doesn't have them." yes I do.
3. True Religion Stella Skinny ($150-200)
These cost a bit too, but I really like the style of these too. They're not extremely tight and balance out my legs a little, which hey is a plus for me. For all you skinny-minis out there, you might not care. These are jeans I would really invest in to last for a long time.

Okay so those are just some that I have opinions on, but typing all of my thoughts would be way too much effort. And I might just have a seventy-five bone test tomorrow that I haven't studied for yet... But anyway, those are some goodies, American Eagle, Pacsun, and Hollister all have pretty decent jeans too. I recommend going during the denim sale at Pacsun they have every so often. Bullhead jeans are approved by this soccer lady. Well, thank you so much my wonderful viewers, I really mean this. And have a good day, I love you all to the moon and back! Stay beautiful! (:
