LAZY GIRL GUIDE: COLLEGE GIRL GUIDE

Hello everyone! So I am headed off for my first year of college in a month from now and as an avid clothes lover, I've been fretting about what clothes to bring in order to look stylish without overhauling my dorm room with clothes. So here are some tips and ideas of what I'm bringing this fall! (*note: my university is in Chicago so I planned a lot of outfits for the colder weather)

1. CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSET

I will be the first to admit that I hoard clothes and it's honestly such a bad habit. I recently found this company called thredUP that you can send your old clothes to, and they'll process the clothes after a few weeks and send money to you if they accept any of it. However, I chose thredUP because the clothes they don't accept, they will actually send to charity, which is much better than having piles of unworn clothes in my closet. It sounds difficult to throw away clothes that you really liked, but after some time, it might be time to say goodbye.

2. LOOK AT THE REMAINING CLOTHES

After cleaning out my closet of my unworn clothes, I'm left with a pretty good chunk of clothes. However, I do want to buy a few new things for university, but first I've made a mental list of the clothes I do have. This way, I won't buy the same thing and I can also picture everything going together to create outfits in my head.

3. STOCK UP ON BASICS

This is a LAZY GIRL GUIDE for a reason; I'm totally content with wearing tees and jeans (leggings) for the rest of my days, but you can't do that without stocking up on basics. I highly recommend Forever 21 and H&M for basics for cheap. Forever 21 has a crazy amount of different tees, camis, and long sleeve shirts and in different colors and styles so I would hit up a local Forever 21 for tees that are under $6.

Alrighty, so those are some of my tips for all of lazy but still stylish girls out here! Now I'll break it down: here's what is in my closet and what I plan on buying before the school year starts.

my closet:

  • nearly 100,000 t shirts from school, clubs, organizations
  • athletic shorts galore
  • large amount of sports bras
  • a few professional/dressy tops, along with dress pants and blazers
  • some casual button downs (think chambray type)
  • a lot of skater skirts/ striped clothes
  • a lot of casual dresses (mostly fit and flare and A-line)
  • casual v necks and long sleeve shirts
  • sweaters for the cold, along with leggings and cardigans
  • jeans
  • scarves (so many scarves)
  • shoes: oxfords, sandals, two pairs of flats, Vans/Toms, running shoes, two pairs of mid-calf boots, ankle boots, high heel boots, strappy heels

okay, so that's basically everything in my closet and now I'll explain all of the things I plan on buying soon.

what I plan on buying:
  • a few more pairs of jeans (I'm just getting a few high-rise pairs because I only have mid and low rise)
  • some tank bodycon dresses (normally I'm not a fan of skin tight clothes, but I figure for dressy occasions, it's a good idea to have these on hold)
  • some heathered crew tees (these are like $5.90 each and can be dressed up with a skirt or down with leggings)
  • leggings (I wear three pairs when it's really cold outside so I highly believe in numerous pairs)
  • skater skirt (I'm going for classic colors like black, since I have already have skirts in various colors)
  • chunky cardigan (I can never pass up a good cardigan, especially as it starts to get cold. You can tell I'm obviously thinking about this winter)
  • flowy tank dress (I really like the teal color of this dress and I think it's very versatile. It can be worn by itself, or with a jacket and tights)
  • another chambray
  • button down (I shipped away the old one! but I feel like these are perfect for professional occasions)
  • handbag (right now I have a clutch that can be turned into a crossbody, but I'm really digging bigger bags that can be used for everything like this one from Zara: http://www.zara.com/us/en/woman/bags/view-all/city-bag-with-handle-c734144p2775410.html
  • ankle boots/flats (I've found myself drawn to Chelsea boots and classic pointed ballet flats, which can be found on Asos: http://us.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=4347982&CTAref=Saved+Items+Page)

All of the things I'm buying go well with the closet I already have and I think it will be easy to incorporate them into new outfits! Also, I plan on getting closet organizers, in order to fit everything and numerous storage trunks for under my bed; here's an idea of what I'm getting http://www.dormco.com/6_Shelf_Organizer_Vibrant_College_Dorm_Storage_p/f1-2-3-25407.htm

and

Alright, I hope this helps all of the incoming college freshmen who like shopping and clothes, but also wearing super casual clothes 99% of the time. Thanks for reading and catch you next time, mostly college-related posts coming up.

AN APOLOGY AND AN UPDATE (and a haul, of course!)

Oh mon dieu! I have been gone for over a month, besides the occasional Polyvore post. I am sorry for not having posted anything in AGES, which I will definitely try to work on. So here's my grand update/apology/bonus haul as an attempt to make up for my absence.

In big news, I finally caved and purchased a Macbook Pro and it is beautiful. So beautiful that I refuse to let other people touch it, just because I paid $1200 for this beauty. Also I don't have another $1200 laying around if this one breaks and this laptop is going with me to college this fall so it's important.

I have also been interviewing and finishing up college things recently and hopefully I'll enter this weird limbo state in between stressing about applying and deciding on a college. This year has definitely been a whirlwind and I am so glad to finally be in the eye of the storm because it has been a long time coming. I have one last interview next week for one of my top schools so we'll see how that goes!

If you guys have been following my exercise blog, you'll know I've been doing the Insanity workout. Today is the last day and final fit test and I'm not sure what I'll do because I actually haven't been working out this week since I caught a very un-fun cold.

Okay, you guys know me, I can't stay away from buying things, especially when it's sluggish and gross outside. The weather just prompts me to go do things, like shop online or hit up Pacsun 3 days a week (which actually happened this week...) It's actually not that much damage since my bank account needs a break after the dent my Macbook left. Here we go!

1. Forever 21 Skater Skirt in Hunter Green ($6.80)

Guys, we all know you can't go wrong with a basic skater skirt, especially in this awesome hunter green color. This skirt was only $6.80 (basically calling my name), pretty thick, and can be layered really well. It's just a nice basic in a nice color and I've already worn it a few times with sweater tights and a shirt during days when I feel dressy.

Okay, before I go into the rest of the items, let me justify these purchases in saying Brandy Melville is rarely a part of the Pacsun deals and it was a really great deal. Right now, Pacsun is having their blue dot sale, which basically means that you can buy two things and get three for free as long as they have a blue sticker on them. And a lot of the Brandy Melville and Kylie and Kendall things were a part of this sale, so I highly recommend getting on this deal.

2. Brandy Melville Nadine (?) Top ($19.95)

This shirt is so soft and just a basic striped shirt from John Galt, who I believe is a designer for Brandy Melville. This shirt is also the reason why I went in on this deal.

3. Brandy Melville Girls Bite Back Muscle Tee ($18.99)

This is just a basic muscle tee with the "Girls Bite Back" quote and drawing of teeth on the side. It's super comfy and I can see myself wearing this a lot this summer. Both Brandy shirts were one size, but I'm a Small and I fit both shirts. I feel like Medium will be okay wearing these, but Large may feel a little uncomfy in these.

4. LA Hearts Skater Skirts in Charcoal, Light Grey, and Heather Green (all FREE)

So these are just some basic skater skirts in charcoal, light grey, and heather green. These colors will definitely go with everything and I think they'll pair well with a plain black or white tee on days when I don't want to wear pants (EVERY DAY). I also think it'll go well with the Brandy tops or any other crop tops.

5. Macbook Pro 13"

AHHHHH this is my baby. I have Office on here and basically it's super efficient and un-laggy, unlike my last laptop (which was literally probably older than me). This is really good for work and watching Masterchef Junior until 3 in the morning every day (or whatever weird show you watch late at night, I know you have one).

Okay, that's the haul and update and again, I'm sorry for not being here. I promise I will try to be better about it this year. Have a great weekend loves!

LAZY GIRL GUIDE: DIY HOLIDAY GIFTS (statement necklaces)

Hello! So if you're lazy like me, you will also put off holiday shopping until the last possible moment and then kick yourself when you're in a crowded mall the Tuesday before Christmas Eve. So I've decided to do a special set of lazy girl guides, specific for the holiday season. Luckily, I've got a few tricks to help you avoid the crowd and still have a pretty awesome gift for whoever.

I really like statement necklaces because you can wear a basic sweater, but when you pair it with a statement necklace, you elevate your look by ten thousand and now you look like you tried, especially when you didn't. I've actually been low-key collecting DIY statement necklace blogs all year long (because I'm an Internet hoarder like that...) and here are a few that I've found that are seemingly foolproof and will just require some free time, creativity, and some patience. I actually plan on trying a few of these out for some friends and family, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

1. Colorful Beaded Necklace from makingitlovely.com

http://makingitlovely.com/2012/05/23/how-to-make-a-statement-necklace/

I think this necklace will be the quickest out of all of the links I'm going to talk about. This necklace can be used to colorblock a neon outfit or just jazz up a classic black ensemble. And of course, you can take your own spin on it and add different colors and lengths to yours. This necklace is simple, yet eye-catching and will definitely bring a smile to any statement necklace aficionado.

BREAK DOWN:

  • 3 strands of the same color bead, just different sizes.
  • make sure each strand is subsequently longer than the last
  • attach together to a jump ring
  • add a chain with a lobster clasp and you're done
2. chain, bead, ribbon necklace from beadandcord.com

This one is a good way to use leftover beads, ribbons, and chains just lying around. It seems fairly simple and creates a very fashionable necklace. I figure that I don't need to do a breakdown of the necklace since the picture is included.

LAZY GIRL GUIDE TO: PROM

Hello! So I know, it's been a while, but I promise that I have a pretty good post planned for today. So as you all know, I am a self-proclaimed lazy person when it comes to looking/acting feminine and I would much rather wear leggings and a crewneck to most things. However, prom is different. I decided to write about prom because prom season is just about to start up again so here it is. I don't know about other schools, but prom is the only dance that my school has. We don't have homecoming (although we have assemblies and coronation for our homecoming court) or Sadie's/turnabout so prom is a pretty big deal. Ours is junior and senior prom too because the senior class usually doesn't have enough money to host prom by themselves so I got to go last year. Here's what I learned:

1. comfy shoes are important.

Unless you're willing to dance right through the inevitable pain of wearing high heels or take your heels off and dance barefoot, comfy shoes are important. I wore a short dress last year and of course, I wore like four inch high heels and after ten minutes, I was in pain. And someone stepped on my foot on the dance floor and left an ugly bruise on the side of my foot. Anyways, comfy shoes are important.

2. if you have a long dress, beware.

The floor at whatever location is probably disgusting or not very clean so your dress will collect dirt. We have our prom in a basketball stadium (classy right?) and it's gross. And my friend wore a really nice long dress that she sewed (crazy skills!) and someone's heel tore a hole in it. Beware of the heels. Not only can heels tear your dress, they can also hold your dress down unknowingly. I know a lot of my friends had to carry their dress/lift them a little so that they wouldn't be trampled.

3. No date? No problem.

Okay, unless your school is super weird, nobody cares if you really have a date. In my little friend circle, most people had dates that they were either forced to ask/asked out of niceness and many of them ended up complaining about their date afterwards. Also it's really fun to go sans a date because there's so much freedom in doing what you want. The whole prom date scenario caused too much unnecessary drama among my friends last school year and it definitely wasn't worth it. I personally went without a date with a group of different friends and it was super fun.

4. Nobody cares about your makeup or hair or really anything.

If you spend 3 hours on makeup and nails and hair, why? Prom is in a dark room where everybody's eyesight is limited to about ten feet and nobody will care about how you look when you're all on a dance floor. It seems like a waste of money and time to get all of the works done for a few sweaty hours of dancing. Just my take on it.

5. Don't wear valuables.

Girls, don't bring out the diamond jewelry for prom. 1. You risk the chance of losing your valuables easily when you're dancing and moving for three+ hours. 2. It's high school prom. In twenty years, you'll just look back on how much fun you had, rather than what accessories you had on.

6. Have fun. Don't stress over it.

Prom will be insignificant in the scope of your life, so just have a fun time and enjoy it.

Here's what I wore to my junior prom:

I got my dress from Windsor and it's in a really nice burgundy color. I just adjusted my measurements to their sizing chart and my dress fit almost perfectly. I didn't need to get alterations or anything and I thought it was at a very good price. I didn't wear any jewelry (evident laziness) and I had a black clutch with gold sequin high heels. I wouldn't break the bank on prom unless you really want to. I had a few friends drive more than an hour to boutiques for Jovani dresses, which are super expensive. If you want to do that, go for it! But just know that prom dresses are hard to sell and there isn't another purpose for a prom dress after prom, unless you're uber creative. Those are my tips and see you next time lazy girl guide!

LAZY GIRL GUIDE: Fitness

Hello! So I know, it's that time of the year again, where we go overboard on the food because it's the holidays and sweaters can cover up everything. And as a self-proclaimed lazy person, I wholeheartedly understand this dilemma. I think I've already explained my story in another blog post, but it was probably eons ago so here we go.

Once upon a time, little sophomore me played high school soccer. That went fine. Until November and December rolled around and I overate A LOT so I gained a lot of weight. PAUSE I'm not trying to say a number on a scale defines anyone because it doesn't. But I knew I weighed way more than I should and I was unhappy with how I looked. So I tried running, which is something I hadn't done since middle school cross country, and I lost about 15 pounds, which is great. I also pushed myself to run a half-marathon and that also happened so yay for being somewhat accomplished (I just really wanted a sticker on my car). But now, college application and school season is hitting me hard and I haven't been able to find time to run. It gets dark about 5:00 pm here in the Midwest and usually I don't get home until 6:00 and there's eating and stuff. So I've taken to a few new ways of exercise. Here they are:

1. Blogilates
I know, I know, I talk about Blogilates way too much. But seriously, Cassey Ho gets you worked out so well and she is so funny and personable. I highly recommend her plank videos because you will hurt, but you can also study or read throughout the routine, if you're a nerd like me. And her cheap clean eats are hands-down the best things ever. All you need is a phone or tablet or laptop with Youtube and you'll be set to go. This is her Playa del Plank video and trust me, you will cry every time she says rest in plank because it BURNS.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVdng_dq-sE
2. FitnessBlender
Okay, so maybe I'm a little obsessed with Youtube, but this channel is a couple and they are so cute. And you will hate them throughout the videos, but afterwards you will love them. I highly recommend the Red Light, Green Light video, mainly because I'm basically a little kid and love that game and it keeps you constantly alert. This link goes to the Brutal HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) Ladder video; I love it. It works you hard and you'll be done in 20 minutes!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZnsLVArIt8
3. Zumba Classes
I have something like Zumba in my town called Pulse and it is the funniest workout I've ever done. Most towns have some sort of zumba class or dance cardio combination and I find that time passes so quickly. Also it helps when there is a hundred other people feeling the same pain that you do, so bring a friend. This link goes to the Pulse channel and this video shows you what Pulse is like.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxJ_AtdbD9E
4. Walk your dog
Okay so maybe all of us don't have dogs. But just go for a little walk if you have time. It's not as strenuous on your muscles as running and you won't be as gross after, but you'll be fit.

5. Insanity
I'm so excited to talk about this one because I am trying this out, starting today. It claims to transform your body in sixty days with the same result you would see in a year. Today is the fitness test for it and I'm eager to tell you guys about how it goes! I've heard it is really hard, but it seems like zumba. You have to buy some DVDs for it, but I'm cheap so I'm watching Youtube videos of each exercise.

Okay these are some lazy girl ways to discreetly get exercise in, without actually doing that much/leaving your house. Hope these work and I'll keep you posted on my Insanity activities (you can follow it on my Wordpress blog: http://anthearuns.wordpress.com). Bye!

LAZY GIRL GUIDE TO: EVERY DAY HAIRSTYLES

Hello! I know it's been a while, but alas the torturous finals week just passed. And yes, my school is on trimesters, not semesters, therefore explaining the strange date of finals week. Anyways, I thought I would share some every day hairstyles for lazy girls, but still want to look good. I typically spend about three minutes on my hair due to these hairstyles.

1. Messy Ponytail (~1 minute or less)

  • spray some sea salt spray (I use NYM Beach Babe Spray) into your hair and scrunch
  • optional: texturizing paste (FX paste works well) for additional texture
  • grab a ponytail holder and tie your hair into a loose ponytail
  • tighten the ponytail and then when I want my hair to look a little messier, I either have a bathroom dance party or jump up and down a few times to get that bedhead, natural look.

2. Messy Bun (~2 minutes)
  • sea salt spray and texturizing paste again
  • gather all of your hair and twist it until it becomes a bun
  • bobby pin it and voila
3. Half Up, Half Down (~1 minute)
  • sea salt and paste once again
  • then scrunch extra
  • roughly take one inch sections from each side
  • pin them together in the back where they intersect

4. Messy Pinned Back Updo (~3 minutes)
  • sea salt, paste, scrunch
  • pin random pieces of hair back roughly
  • add a nice statement pin or ribbon

This website (http://www.sunandmooncraftkits.com/filigree-hair-barrettes.html) has super cute barettes and hair clips and they're all for a really affordable price! I'm not sponsored to say this, I just found their website and it looks really nice.

Well, that's all I've got! I usually repeat these hairstyles basically every day during school because I just don't apply heat to my hair ever. However, if you do use salt spray and paste very often, it will dry your hair out so I recommend a regular mask or leave-in conditioner like the Macadamia brand. It smells really good and it can be found at most salons and also at some TJMaxx stores. Good luck and see you next time!

LAZY GIRL GUIDE TO: WINTER COATS

Hello! So I know that in the Midwest, it's already starting to get cold and it'll be cold for the next five months which stinks. So I wanted to make a lazy girl guide to coats (apologies to all the people in California or Florida since this post doesn't really apply to you guys) I've picked out a few coats that will be functional, fashionable, and will be weather-proof for the multiple feet of snow that we're supposed to get. I'm not really looking forward to this winter at all, especially since our fall was so short. Okay, anyways, let's get started:

1. Forever 21 Faux Fur-Lined Parka ($83 online)

This coat may be a little pricey for Forever 21, but I've felt this coat in-store and it feels HEAVENLY. It is so soft and I can tell that the lining will definitely keep you warm on those days where the wind is super cold and frigid. This parka also has a hood (in case you forget a hat!), a zipper and buttons (double protection), pockets, and cute elbow patches. I think this parka is definitely functional and fashionable for the cold weather! I also love this military green color and I think you guys will see that throughout these coats.

2. ASOS Faux Fur Hooded Detachable Lined Parka ($86, currently SOLD OUT)

Okay this coat is pretty similar to the Forever 21 coat, but I liked it because it has more pockets and zippers as decoration on the coat and ASOS also has better quality than Forever 21 usually so although this coat may be a little more expensive, the quality will be good. I know that it is currently sold out (bummer because I wanted one), but I'll have an update when they come back out again.

3. Express Classic Trench Coat ($89.60)

This coat is perfect for the ladies who still want to have that classic look without being freezing. This Express coat is just the epitome of classic trench coat/Serena van der Woodsen look and I think it would be perfect with matching winter accessories like gloves, a hat or a scarf. The khaki color of this coat also makes it that much more classy, but this coat also comes in a black hue.

4. Echo Design Ombre Multi Stripe Tube ($38 on Zappos)

Since I talked about accessories in the previous coat, I'd thought it would only be fair to include some of them. This scarf is from Zappos and not only looks fashionable, but it is also made of a durable material that will keep your neck warm this winter. Personally I hate when a coat doesn't cover my neck area and part of me is left freezing so I scour websites for the best scarves. This scarf also comes in a red and blue ombre which leads to many possibilities on winter days, especially to brighten up an outfit.

5. Neff Beanie (around $15)
I think everyone has seen these famous beanies and I think beanies are perfect for winter days. They cover your ears and your head and keep your head warm. It also comes in a variety of colors and can cover up any bad hair day. These are just perfect for the grunge girl or just any girl looking to save herself from the dreadful hair day.

Okay, that's all for me! These are just some ideas for this upcoming winter season for all of my ladies living in a cold place too. I know it might not be applicable to everyone, especially those in negative degree weather, but hopefully it's a start!

LAZY GIRL GUIDE TO: QUICK AND HEALTHY BREAKFAST

Hi lovelies! Hope you're having a great weekend that's been full of un-procrastination unlike myself. My first set of college deadlines are in less two weeks and I still have two essays to write. Ugh. I often find myself wondering if I'm cut out to be a pilot or better yet, a hobo for the rest of my life.

Anyways, today is a lazy girl guide to quick and healthy breakfast! I love breakfast and no matter how late I'm running, I always eat breakfast. It's important to eat something after (hopefully) eight hours of sleep (it's more like four or five for me) and it's soooo important if you're trying to lose weight. You can't lose weight by starving in the morning and then overeating throughout the day. Okay let's go!

1. Oat bowl

You'll need:

  • oats
  • milk (any kind works)
  • optional: toppings
Okay, I usually make the oats the night before so I can just pour toppings on in the morning. All you need to do is place some plain oats in a bowl and then pour milk into it. I don't like soggy oats, so I go lighter on the milk. I usually use almond milk, but any kind is okay! Then I just put plastic wrap over the bowl and the next morning, I pick out my favorite toppings. Usually, I add some pumpkin flax granola (tastes like a pumpkin spice latte without the calories), raisins and these amazing Brookside Dark Chocolate Acai pieces. You can add fruit or dark chocolate too! It's super versatile.

2. Blogilates Pancakes

I swear by Blogilates for fun fitness and also these "cheap clean eats" that are lifesavers in a pinch. She has these pancakes that are so simple, yet taste so good.

http://www.blogilates.com/blog/2012/08/17/100-natural-pancakes-recipe-gluten-free-flourless-low-calorie/

All you need is two eggs and a banana; how easy is that? And if you don't like eggs, you can get those liquid egg whites or any other substitute.

3. Fastest Omelette Ever

Some days, I don't want something sweet so I make an omelette. There's really no exact recipe for this one; it varies depends on what vegetables are in my fridge. Usually I'll have:

  • 1 or 2 eggs (depends on how hungry I am)
  • frozen vegetable mix (onion, celery, etc)
  • pepper, onion powder, garlic salt
  • olive oil
  • optional: cheese, tomatoes, other toppings

So all I do is heat some olive oil up, crack my eggs into a pot and then add everything in. I add excessive amounts of black pepper to everything so my omelette is basically covered in black specks. This is super fast, super tasty, and perfect for mornings when I want  something different.

And then if I'm running REALLY late, I turn to an apple, a yogurt, or a granola bar (usually some combination of those three things) and my water.

I also have been drinking water really consistently for about three months now. I just got this "Addison" Contigo 24 oz bottle after my DFL one leaked all over my backseat. This bottle is literally leak-proof and super durable (I've dropped it numerous times on my way to working out). I try to drink at least two of these bottles everyday.

Okay, I'll see you guys later! Hope this provides a little inspiration for all my other lazy girls out there, looking to get more sleep but still eat healthy.

Lazy Girl's Guide to Dressing Well in Under 5 Minutes

Hi lovelies! I hope you've been blessed with crisp, nice fall weather rather than freezing rain and darkness like moi for the past few days. I've recently been searching on tumblr (I refuse to rejoin the Pinterest cult) and just online in general for lazy day outfits. Except I don't like lazy day outfits like sweatpants. I still need to look put together, just not feel like it. I know some other people have to feel this way too; I think I've just been conditioned to look somewhat decent at all times. So here are tried-and-true classy yet effortless outfit ideas!

1. White T shirt

I literally cannot stress the importance of having a white tee that is comfy. If you don't have one, I want you to go out to H&M or Gap and just buy like three because these are life savers. I know whenever I'm running late and I don't have any outfits in mind, I run to a white tee like peanut butter runs to jelly. White t shirts are the quintessential basic; you can dress them up with a blazer or cardigan, layer it with a scarf and a jacket or just casually half tuck it into a pair of jeans and bedhead hair and leave (the latter is me on 95% of all days).

I LITERALLY HAVE 5 MINUTES:

  • white tee
  • jeans
  • flats/cute statement shoes to distract from the mess that is inevitably my hair
Eh I have some more time:

  • white tee
  • skirt
  • long cardigan
  • scarf
  • ankle boots/oxfords
It's freezing outside:

  • white tee
  • parka
  • jeans
  • fuzzy socks
  • combat boots
  • scarf
  • hat
http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=136787656

I made a set on Polyvore in case any of you wanted to see these in action.

2. Chambray

Okay, seriously another investment piece that you will so not regret. Lazy days don't even look lazy with a chambray. The button-down makes it more structured and you'll look like you tried, especially if the chambray has a groovy pattern like polka dots or stars or something. And chambrays look great layered under a military jacket or grandpa cardigan. Go crazy.

WHY DID I HIT SNOOZE SO MUCH:
  • chambray
  • black jeans
  • flats/boots/oxfords
3. Sweater + Scarf

Dude, you'll be the epitome of comfy. I swear by this combination for freezing days in the Midwest, especially if you own a lot of thick sweaters and scarves like me. And a cute bun ties the whole "I tried, but not too hard and I'm comfier than you" look together.

IT'S -12 OUTSIDE BUT I WANNA BE CUTE

  • grandpa sweater
  • super thick and comfy infinity scarf
  • leggings (unless you want to wear actual pants, then go ahead)
  • thick socks (YACTRAX for life)
  • boots

Another Polyvore set for you guys! It's the chambray and the sweater together because I'm too lazy to separate them, hence my self-proclaimed title of lazy.

4. Dresses

Dresses are my lifesavers. I would never look half as semi-decent as I do at school without dresses. They literally take two minutes to put, you can accessorize the poop out of them or leave them plain, wear them in all seasons (screw sundress season, I'll wear mine in January). This is my second to last resort besides the white tee. But really, I love dresses.

I LOOK CUTER THAN YOU BUT I GOT MORE SLEEP:

  • LBD
  • sweater
  • tights
  • ankle booties

and the last Polyvore set.

Okay, those were some of my ideas for dressing well in a rush. Even lazy girls can afford to look decent, or at least by my standards. Take those extra minutes that you don't have to spend getting ready to get a pumpkin spice latte or other drink that will warm your insides into a little pile of euphoric mush. Enjoy and get your lazy girl on!
