DIY BRANDY MELVILLE MOON PHASE TANK

Hello my pumpkins! Wow, that sounds weirder than I thought it would. Today we're going to DIY the Brandy Melville Moon Phase tank that is around $20.
SWERVE, who has $20 for a tank that could be made for under $8?

You'll need:
1. Black t-shirt/tank
2. White acrylic paint
3. Metallic gray paint (optional)
4. Q-tips
5. Rubbing alcohol
6. Old magazines
7. Paintbrush, sponge
8. A cup of water
9. A piece of cardboard/thick paper

Okay here we go!
This first step is only for those with a black T-SHIRT. Cut off the sleeves to make it a tank. Next you're going to find a cup or something with a 6 CM DIAMETER and trace it onto the cardboard. Then you're going to cut it out and that's our stencil for the moons. Then this is super important: PLACE THE OLD MAGAZINES INSIDE THE TANK. Now pour out some paint and make sure you have a picture of the shirt somewhere handy to refer to. Just eyeball it to the best of your ability, it doesn't have to look 100% professional. You can use the sponge to fill the moon in and the paintbrush to smooth out the edges (that's what I tried). The gray is for making the craters on the moons, but after a while I just gave up on that. Now if you made mistakes, don't worry, all is not lost. Grab some rubbing alcohol and Q-tips, pour, and dab/scrape until the paint comes off. I also read that the Clorox wipes will work in a pinch as well, but I didn't try that out.
The painting is the fun/super long part but afterwards, try it out (or have a dance party in it) and then iron it before you throw it in the wash. After that you're done! And you just saved yourself $12 too; enough to get a lot of Jamba Juice.
Okay, until next time! See you later!

thoughts to myself: "arghhhh what have I gotten myself into? also now my leggings are covered in lint."

"ahhhhhh i messed up the third one so much, i don't know what to do now. okay, let's google how to remove acrylic paint."

"i got paint everywhere on this. this looks so bad that i wouldn't even let my cat wear this. ah why did i decide i would blog this? now they're gonna laugh at me and my terrible painting skills."

"BAM, rubbing alcohol is my savior. time to have my dance party and post this! holllllllla."

FALL HAUL

Guys it's almost FALL which means it's okay to wear sweaters everyday. Sweater weather is literally amazing and so is the song too. Btw got Halcyon Days by Ellie Goulding and literally the best $20 I've ever spent.
So I went shopping today and picked up a few goodies!

1. Alex and Ani Gemini Bracelet
Okay so Alex and Ani is primarily an East Coast commodity, but I'm determined to make it a hit in the Midwest. Alex and Ani is a bracelet company with different charms that all signify different things. Mine is Gemini because I am indeed a Gemini. But the best part was I got it for $10 instead of $24, score!

2. Calvin Klein Jeans
Just some basic black, straight-leg jeans.

3. G by Guess Combat Boots
So I finally got combat boots! They're a shiny dark brown with a maroon tint. They zip on the side so you don't have to tie shoelaces or anything too! The inside is a cute camo but I'm not sure these can be folded over. They were $40 though!

Okay that's all for my mini fall haul! Enjoy the weather lovelies (along with pumpkin ice cream!) and see you next time!

FALL UPDATE

Hello my lovely daisies! Super long time no see, mostly my fault. However I just wanted to catch you guys up with a few fall favorites.

1. Marina and Lana Remixes station on 8tracks
If you like marina and/or Lana you will love this more than anything. 8tracks is a super awesome radio app too, no ads!

2. Wild Daisy Couture
This girl hand-prints these tanktops and crewnecks all for $18! She's crazy talented and the clothes have great sayings. Like Freshtops but cheaper.

3. Combat boots
I'm officially in love with combat boots all kind. I still need to get a pair but they look so good with everything and they're so cute for the fall.

4. Benefit's They're Real Mascara
This is the best $20 I've ever spent. My eyelashes look like they could literally blow someone away and I have short, stubby Asian lashes. If you have long lashes, they will look gorgeous.

5. Urban Outfitters Lip Gloss Pen in Red
Okay best lip product for $5. It's like a big crayon that stays on forever. It's crazy awesome and works well on my lips. And it makes your teeth look whiter because of the blue undertones.

6. Miss Moving On by Fifth Harmony
This song is crazy catchy and I sing it all the time.

7. Viva la Primadonna
Coldplay and Marina. Eargasm.

Okay those are a few things I'm loving! Let me know how you are! Bye!

BEST WAVY BEACHY NO HEAT HAIR

Hi my lovelies! So I have come up with a really effective, super quick and effortless wavy beach hair method and I wanted to share.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
1. Dirty hair
2. Hair tie
3. Bobby pins (optional)
4. Surf spray (optional)

Alright so this will work better on day old hair. However if you have oily hair or something, you can do this the night before school or something. So you can spray some surf spray in your hair and scrunch. Then TIGHTLY French braid your hair. If you want your bangs and higher layers to turn out wavy too, you can twist them away from your face and bobby pin them (or into a mini bun!) And now you play the waiting game. You can either go to sleep if you're doing this the night before something or just do something for a few hours. Undo the braid and your bangs and presto! You'll have perfect, easy waves.

Thanks for reading, peace.

PACIFIC RIM

Hola! Long time no see. I've been a little preoccupied with some things but I did make time to go see Pacific Rim today in 3-D at the Providence IMAX.
This movie made really good use of 3-D; I applaud their ways. It felt really real (cliche but you know) and it just made it that much better. The acting is pretty well done, especially the younger version of Mako (two thumbs up for that little girl!). Not to mention, Charlie Hunham looks reallllly nice. The plot twists were good and I also appreciated the take on the whole "mad scientist" idea. The visuals for the Kaijus and the movie in general, were all on par. Kudos. I did like how they used the military idea of "drifting" or emotional attachment, and meshed it into the movie.
However it was a little hard to tell the Jaegers apart from the Kaijus during the fighting scenes. It was a little slow at first and didn't really say much about Becket besides his brother dying.
All in all, highly recommended in 3-D and the normal version as well.
Thanks for reading! Until next time!
